The story
01 — The dayOn August 3, 2026, Wing Fest made its highly anticipated debut, transforming a single day into one of the largest independently produced food and entertainment experiences in The Bahamas.
Created by entertainer and entrepreneur Das Quay, Wing Fest welcomed more than 7,000 patrons and attendees, who came together to celebrate Bahamian entrepreneurship, creativity, music, and community.
The event featured 42 food and retail vendors, with approximately 70 percent selling out before the festival concluded; a testament to the overwhelming public support and economic impact generated throughout the day.
Designed as more than a food festival, Wing Fest was created to provide local businesses with a platform to showcase their products while creating an experience that families, residents, and visitors could enjoy together. From live entertainment and interactive experiences to community engagement and culinary creativity, the festival demonstrated the growing demand for locally produced cultural events.
The success of the inaugural event represents another milestone in Das Quay’s growing portfolio of community-driven initiatives, joining projects such as RECESS (Teacher Fest), which have become recognized for celebrating and investing in the Bahamian community.
With thousands of patrons, strong corporate partnerships, and significant support for local entrepreneurs, Wing Fest has established itself as one of the country’s newest signature events and is expected to continue growing in the years ahead.
For Das Quay, the event reflected a philosophy that has become central to his work:
“Entertainment has the power to bring people together, but when my platform also creates opportunities for others, that’s success.”
